One of the most exciting things about being in a couple is experiencing new adventures together. There are so many exciting things that you can explore in the world. Here are six exciting adventures for active couples.
Explore Fiji in a Kayak
Fiji is located in the South Pacific and a visit to the coast is perfect for adventurous couples. If you have never tried kayaking before you can learn the basics in a day of instruction. There are several beautiful places to explore like the volcanic Yasawa Islands and the Sawa-i-lau caves.
The water is crystal clear so you can see plenty of marine life and you can also snorkel or swim whenever you want to. There are plenty of romantic accommodations on Turtle Island and Navatu and you can relax on beautiful white sand beaches after a day on the water.
Go Interrailing in Europe
Travelling around Europe by Interrail is a great way to view the continent. Start in London and make sure you spend some time exploring the capital, and seeing the sights on a tour. Take the Eurostar that will connect you with Paris, and from there you can head out to many different destinations and stick around and explore with this helpful Paris itinerary.

Ride the Waves in Mozambique
Mozambique is in southern Africa and surfing is rapidly gaining popularity with both the locals and tourists. Tofo and Ponto D’Ouro are great places to head and the waves are great for surfers with all levels of experience. You can rent a small bungalow on the beach or give camping a try. Rentals are available and you get lessons if you have never surfed before.
Climb Mount Kilimanjaro
Mt. Kilimanjaro is located in the beautiful country of Tanzania and it is the highest peak in Africa. The view from the peak is stunning and you will feel like you are on top of the world. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro certainly is challenging, but it can be managed if you are in good shape.
It is best if you begin training at least 8 weeks in advance and your training should be a mixture of cardio, endurance, and weightlifting. Make sure that you have comfortable boots so you don’t have to deal with blisters either.
Northern Lights Adventure Holiday
The Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis, occur when solar particles collide with atmospheric gases. The resulting stunning colours light up the night sky and they are one of nature’s most beautiful occurrences.
The best time to see them is from late November to March and you can view them in areas that are close to the arctic like Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, Alaska, USA, and in the Yukon Territories and Northwest Territories in Canada.
Hitch up a Team in Finland
Dog sledding in Finland is a great way for adventurous couples to bond. You each get your own team of dogs that you are responsible for and you will be trained on how to navigate, steer and look after your dogs.
Make sure you dress warmly as the path takes you above the Arctic Circle and you will be travelling through ice and snow at speeds of around 20 km/hr.
